GREEN BOOK 2023

Now in its tenth edition, the Green Book is the most comprehensive report on the municipal waste sector in Italy. The publication offers an in-depth overview of the industry, analyzing the regulatory framework, local governance and management practices, the economic and financial performance of service providers, and the costs incurred by end users for urban sanitation services.

It also includes an analysis of service contracts based on a review of public tender documentation. The 2023 edition, developed with contributions from ISPRA and in collaboration with ENEA and Ancitel Energia e Ambiente, features a special focus on key circular economy sectors, such as critical raw materials, organic waste, and textile waste.
